They saw that the Xu family did not even have a quilt to keep out the cold. Before leaving, the female Red Army soldier cut open her only quilt with scissors and left half of the quilt with Xu Jiexiu. After the Red Army left, Xu Jiexiu thought about it for more than fifty years and treasured this touching story in his heart for more than fifty years. The Red Army soldiers first thought of the needs of the people when supplies were extremely scarce, demonstrating the deep affection between the Communists and the people who share weal and woe and share weal and woe, as well as the Communist Party's unchanging original intention of always relying on the masses and always serving the masses.
