There are no husbands and children in that song, but youthful rebellion, and a life that has been torn apart over and over again... A rebellious woman who has been singing for most of her life! She is my mother, who has had three names and three identities in her life - she made a living by picking up rags and was sold into a restaurant as a child; she was forced to marry at the age of fifteen; and she had to go to Nakasi, Beitou to sing in order to make a living for her mother's family - my mother's life is more exciting than an eight o'clock TV series. But to me, she's more like a commercial inserted between series. The only memories I have are of selling medicine and performing with my mother when I was little, or staying up late waiting for her to come back from Beitou singing. Apart from that, she is always a derelict mother in my heart.
