About This Novel

In this rapidly changing world, time is like a tireless traveler. It never looks back, but always moves forward in a hurry, never stopping for you and me. As a child born in the late 1970s and early 1980s, I often feel caught between the past and the present, tradition and modernity. Writing this book is my attempt to capture those memories that have gradually become blurred as time goes by, and it is an affectionate look back at that special time. This book records those stories that have been forgotten in the long river of history, and preserves the joys, sorrows and joys of us little people in this era in the context of the country. For me, writing this book was a spontaneous process. Sometimes, I will suddenly remember a scene from my childhood because of a piece of reading while walking; sometimes, in the dead of night, I will fall into deep memories because of a melody or a photo. Therefore, it has no fixed framework and no specific order. Instead, it allows thoughts to flow freely and memories to unfold naturally. These scattered fragments are like scattered pearls in the ocean, picked up one by one. Therefore, I hope you will read this book with the same feeling. There is no need to pursue strict logic, or even some sudden turns; there is no need to look for clear clues, but follow the guidance of the text, walk into that memory, and feel the emotions of our generation. I hope that through these miscellaneous conversations, I can share with you those stories that have been forgotten by time, those memories that have gradually become blurred in the long river of history, so that you can find resonance in your reading and feel the warmth of that era.
