The actions of Britain, France and the three countries have been widely criticized by the international community. Both the United States and the Soviet Union intervened in this incident and exerted pressure on the three countries. On November 6, under strong international pressure, Britain and France were forced to accept the ceasefire resolution, and Israel agreed to withdraw from the Sinai Peninsula on November 8. The military adventures of Britain and France ultimately ended in failure, and only Israel achieved its goals to a certain extent.
