About This Novel
When coastal defense is severely challenged, how does a country respond to defend its political and economic core? This book starts from the challenge of Japanese rebellion to national coastal defense in the Ming Dynasty, and describes the Ming government's specific defensive responses and adjustments in the face of attacks. The whole book studies the institutional operation process of the establishment of officials, cooperation at all levels, and actual command of coastal defense in the Ming Dynasty under the "military and political structure" composed of two aspects: military and military. It reveals the adjustment and change of the coastal defense pattern, deployment, and system in the Ming Dynasty, and shows the exploration and some dilemmas of the early modern state at the institutional operational level. Through the description and analysis of actual coastal defense forms, we can enhance our knowledge and understanding of the operation of the Ming Dynasty state and its organizations, and also provide some ideas for current maritime governance and system construction.
