The book is divided into four parts: commercial development in the Ganning-Ningxia Qing Dynasty in the early and mid-Qing Dynasty, merchants and the main domestic commercial activities in the Gan-Ningxia Qing Dynasty in modern times, merchant groups in the modern Gan-Ningxia Qing Dynasty fur export trade, and merchants and social changes. From the perspective of social change, this book uses a comprehensive approach of historical methods and multidisciplinary research to examine the many unique regional aspects of merchant activity markets in the geographical space of Gansu, Ningxia and Qinghai. It focuses on the analysis of the role and impact of ideas, behavioral norms, moral principles, and religious beliefs in the transaction process.
