by Cppcc Shenmu City Committee
About This Novel
Cai Xuecun, formerly known as Cai Zhende, was from Chengguan, Shenmu County, Shaanxi Province. He joined the Communist Party of China in 1924 when he was studying at Nankai Middle School in Tianjin, and later studied in the Soviet Union. After returning to China in 1926, he worked in the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China in Shanghai. He served as the Propaganda Minister of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China and the Secretary of the Jiangsu Provincial Committee of the Communist Party of China. In order to commemorate this outstanding revolutionary in Shenmu County, the Shenmu County Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference compiled Cai Xuecun's works and the research results of some scholars on Cai Xuecun into a book. Cai Xuecun's research results mainly analyzed and summarized the laws of Chinese peasant wars and their impact on productivity by sorting out several large-scale peasant wars in Chinese history, using the Marxist philosophical principle that the economic base determines the superstructure. It was praised as a very important historical work at the time.
