This book comprehensively counts 14,563 polysyllabic words in Li Bai's poems, including 1,223 parallel compound words. Based on previous research results, combined with the cultural background of the Tang Dynasty and the context of all Tang poems, and through arduous textual research and analysis, it quite accurately explains the semantics of 218 parallel compound words, including some words with strong religious overtones. This paper analyzes the various semantic relationships between the two morphemes that constitute the parallel compound words in Li Bai's poems; demonstrates that these compound words are formed and developed from ancient monosyllabic words as morphemes; summarizes the clustering characteristics of the meanings of these parallel compound words, reveals the distinct systematicity of the application of parallel compound words in Li Bai's poems, and the characteristic of "no sentence has no origin" in Li Bai's poetry.
