About This Novel
Han Yu, whose courtesy name was Tuizhi, was born in Heyang (now west of Meng County, Henan Province). The commander-in-chief Wang Changli was called "Han Changli"; he once served as the servant of the Ministry of Civil Affairs, and was called "Han Libu"; he was also given the posthumous title of "Wen" and was called "Han Wengong". Han Yu pursued official career all his life, but failed in his early career, and his official career was tortuous and bumpy.
