The 13 articles collected in this book are not arranged in the chronological order of the historical events described as usual. But the author believes that it is not difficult for readers to understand this: this is not only the author's thinking process when studying the history of Soviet Russia, but also the thinking path of people when faced with an object of understanding: people are first eager to know "what it is", and then after feeling it, they want to ask "where does it come from", "Where are we going?" And after understanding its origin and context, we will not only have a better understanding of "what it is", but also in this "I think, therefore I am" mentality, we will be able to better understand "what I am" and be better able to grasp our own existence and meaning. This is precisely the purpose of bringing these articles together into a volume.
