The book "Carnival of the Romanes" was written by the French writer Emmanuel Le Valadoury and translated by Xu Minglong. "Romand Carnival" tells the story of how during the two weeks in February 1580, residents of the city of Romand (then part of the Dauphiné province, now part of the Drôme province) dressed up as various characters and even animals, happily dancing, playing games, racing, and partying... In the program that was performed every day during the carnival, the Romands procession marched among craftsmen and dignitaries. There are spontaneous folk performances all over the city. Streets and streets, guilds and guilds, each show their abilities and compete with each other. Underworld figure Judge Guerin sets a trap that causes the Romans to fight each other.
