About This Novel
"Mabele" is an amazing work. Generally, when you read it for the first time, you will find it strange that it is not like Xiao Hong's usual style. It does not write about women's experiences and does not use women as protagonists. As a female writer in China in the 1930s, Xiao Hong has attracted much attention in the literary world because of her unique literary talent and wandering life experience.
