About This Novel

Many ancient sages have written historical notes handed down to the world. Looking up at the high mountain, my heart yearns for it. Therefore, following the example of predecessors, we select the Jiaodong Peninsula as the spatial scope, ancient history as the temporal and spatial scope, and explore interesting topics in Jiaodong history in the form of notes. The book is divided into five major categories (five chapters): place names, characters, surnames, battles and allusions. Each chapter contains several articles, each ranging from 1,000 to 2,000 words. With the expansion of the scope of reference, the focus of the word "Jiaodong" has gradually changed from "Jiao" to "East". Originally, the emphasis was on the adjacent relationship with Jiaoshui or Jiaolai River; now, the emphasis is on the "Jiaodong flavor" as you go eastward. Precisely because of the evolution of the meaning of the word, there are also some people who agree with the view that Yanwei has more Jiaodong characteristics than Qingdao.
