A Brief History of Today: the Big Issue of Human Destiny
About This Novel
Currently, human society is facing three major challenges: technological subversion, ecological collapse and nuclear war. The identity of "country" is no longer sufficient to meet today's challenges. No country can solve global problems independently. Artificial intelligence and biotechnology are subverting the original social structure and distribution methods, and data has become the most important resource. When data giants know themselves better than we do, and when "online" becomes a way of survival, how to regulate the ownership of data? Can a global community that upholds human freedom and equality be established? Artificial intelligence and biotechnology have given humans the ability to reshape and redesign life. How can we use this ability to stage a new drama? In a world where information is bombarded with information that is often useless, clarity is a power. For various issues related to the destiny of mankind, Yuval Harari did not give simple answers in "A Brief History of Today", but triggered us to think further.

This is a book that inspires wisdom. The author puts forward the concept of "algorithm".
This is a book that inspires wisdom. The author puts forward the concept of "algorithm" and tells people that in the future, people's decision-making may be handed over to artificial intelligence, thereby losing their minds. Therefore, he proposed to be aware of one's own mind, be good at learning, constantly develop new skills, and keep up with the rhythm of the times.
A Brief History of Today: The Great Issue of Human Destiny - Book Review
Following "A Brief History of Humanity" and "A Brief History of the Future", this is the final work of the "Brief History Trilogy". The whole book directly faces the problems and challenges of human destiny. The author believes that the main reason why Homo sapiens was able to rise to dominate the earth was because of its ability to make up stories. However, in today's divided world, we have lost faith in the old story and are far from reaching a consensus on the new story. In other words, neither the peripheral conditions nor the core characters of virtual stories in today's society are available. We are in an era that lacks absolute wise men.
A brief history of mankind allows me to understand the past, a brief history of the future allows me to understand the future, and finally a brief history of today allows me to understand the present. An exciting author, thank you!
Finally, there is a brief history of today. The brief history of mankind and the brief history of the future are also very interesting!
Can it be compared like this: We modern humans are the fathers, and AI, new humans, etc. Are the children. Dragons give birth to dragons and phoenixes. How good AI and the new human race are must be influenced by our contemporary people. I am willing to work hard to become better and better, and do my little bit to nurture a stronger "next generation".
In the face of various challenges in modern society, liberal democracy is the most successful and flexible political model to date. While not necessarily applicable to every society at every stage of development, liberal democracy has proven its worth in more societies and in more situations than any other alternative.
This book is one of the many books I have read in 2019. It cannot be said to be the best book, but it is also a good and thought-provoking work, with interlocking factual arguments and witty jokes. This book perfectly explains what social science readings are: first, it makes the public comfortable to read; second, it fully embodies scientific arguments and stimulates readers' interest and thinking to the greatest extent - our past, our present, and our future~
Stop by and take a look. . .
If it is translated as "21 Lessons in the 21st Century", maybe I won't read it. Fortunately, it was translated into the lofty [A Brief History of Today].
The concluding work of the Brief History trilogy, Brief History, is released today, focusing on the present and facing directly the issues and challenges that affect the destiny of each of us today. Yuval Harari believes that the reason why Homo sapiens can rise to dominate the earth.
