About This Novel
In 1943, tea farmers Pan Laohan and Pan Chunmiao, their father and daughter, transported a shipload of Liubao tea from the ancient tea ship route to Wuzhou City. Unexpectedly, Pan Chunmiao was betrayed by the traitor Zhang Jiucheng when she met with her fiancé, guerrilla leader Liu Longping. Later, Pan Laohan and Liu Longping's father, tea merchant Liu Fuyuan, were captured by the Japanese. In order to rescue Old Man Pan, the guerrillas attacked a tea party held by the Japanese. However, due to being outnumbered, Old Man Pan died heroically. Soon after, Liu Longping was captured because Yang Laifa, deputy captain of the guerrillas, surrendered to the enemy. In order to cover the safe retreat of the team members, Liu Longping was captured. For this reason, Pan Chunmiao and guerrilla Wu Bilian dealt with the enemy elusively again and again, staged scenes of guerrilla warfare that frightened the enemy.
