Shanju Putuo

About This Novel
This book is Jiang Kan's brand new collection of essays on life in the mountains. In order to be reunited with her husband and to cultivate her body and mind, she moved to Mount Putuo. With the mountain behind her and the sea facing her, the world is surrounded by Buddhist lanterns, monks, nuns and laypeople. It is bright and quiet. There is no place like Putuo that can accommodate these completely opposite artistic conceptions at the same time. She shares life in the mountains, meets good people in the mountains, and visits Buddhist temples in the mountains. She is everywhere in Putuo Mountain. But I know that I will adapt to the new life soon, just like when I was in college and then went to Australia. The day I left, I cried and couldn't stop. I turned around and found my own fun and immersed myself in the new world. Yes, there is nothing to cry about. Leaving is not out of disgust, successful transformation, or to beautify or sublimate the past. Leaving is simply because I want to try a new beginning and need a new toss, that's all. I thank myself that no matter how troubled and sad I am, I always have a sparkling place in my heart, which supports me to keep my vitality alive.
