About This Novel
Xie Wenjin (1894-1927) was born in Yongjia, Zhejiang. In 1919, he worked at the Shanghai "New Youth" magazine. Joined the Chinese Socialist Youth League in 1920. In 1921, he was sent to study at the Eastern University in Moscow. Joined the Communist Party of China in Moscow in 1922. He returned to China in the winter of 1923 and served as representative of the Communist International, translator Borodin, Soviet military and political adviser, and secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China. In December 1924, the Wenzhou independent branch of the Communist Party of China was established. In 1925, he served as a member of the Communist Party of Shanghai Federation of Trade Unions. In April 1926, he was appointed as a member of the Shanghai District Committee of the Communist Party of China, and in July, he was appointed as the secretary of the Nanjing District Committee of the Communist Party of China. Arrested and sacrificed on April 10, 1927.
