About This Novel

AD 375-568 is known as the era of great migration in European history. During this period, many barbarian tribes, mainly Germans, invaded and destroyed the Roman Empire. On the ruins of the Roman Empire, dozens of Germanic "nation-states" were established, laying the foundation for Europe's future political landscape. This period of history extends from the Roman Empire to the Middle Ages, so it is of extremely unique importance. However, due to cultural backwardness, the Germanic peoples rarely wrote historical documents. What is even more regrettable is that due to the acute ethnic, religious, and social conflicts, political chaos, and frequent wars at that time, a large number of precious historical materials on Rome were lost. Among the original historical materials that have survived, most of the chapters have serious incompleteness problems. The few historical materials that have been preserved relatively completely either lack a sufficient time span or are too simple and one-sided to satisfy future generations who are interested in this period of history.
