"Study on the Thoughts of Dunhuang Taixuan Zhenyibenji Jing" and "Taixuanzhen Yibenji Jing" are referred to as "Benji Jing". It is an early Taoist classic in the Sui and Tang Dynasties and is also the most important Dunhuang Taoist scripture. In the form of prayers and explanations, the entire sutra narrates how Yuanshi Tianzun, Taishang Daojun, and Taishang Laojun preached sermons to all the innocent and immortal beings, preached the profound Taoism, and "began to perform the true Dharma." The content involves the "Tao Body Theory" that "Tao has no origin"; the "Tao Nature Theory" that "Tao nature is natural"; the "Twelve Dharma Seals" and "Three Cave" classification methods and the "Chongxuan" Tao combination of "Judgment Theory"; the "Cultivation Theory" of karma, merit industry, scientific rituals and precepts, cultivation steps, training methods, etc.
