About This Novel
Alice Walker (1944-) is an outstanding contemporary black female writer and social activist in the United States. She not only created a large number of excellent novels, poems, and prose works, but also became a leading figure in American society concerned about the human living environment by advocating women's ideas. This book is a thematic study of Walker's novels (mainly novels), covering author evaluation, literature review, exploration of women's theory, text analysis, etc. Textual analysis (chapters 4 to 7) is the focus of the book. It brings Walker's novels into a womanist perspective and interprets common themes related to the survival of black Americans and even the entire human race, such as the return of black masculinity and humanity, the struggle of black women to subvert male and white hegemony, the inheritance of black folk culture, and gender harmony, racial harmony, and even the harmony between man and nature.
