Korean War Diary (1951-1953)
by Yu Min
About This Novel
In the morning, I packed my backpack, lay down to rest, and prepared for the night march. Outside, the landlady's silent chatter while boiling water disturbed me so much that I couldn't sleep anymore. In the past few days, for some reason, my aunt has always been unhappy. She would scold her if she didn't go her way. Her usually kind and smiling face is rarely seen now. Even if she smiles occasionally, it is so forced and uncomfortable. When we were practicing marching with our air defense nets on our backs, she would often lean on the fence and watch our procession in a daze. In fact, we have a very good relationship with each other. I give tutoring lessons to my younger siblings whenever I have free time, and my aunt often gives me things. Although she gets angry every time because I don't accept things, she knows that this is a discipline that each of us must abide by.

This book is based on real life, but it does not introduce what Mr. Liu did in the end.
I like this kind of book very much. The author writes very aptly.
