Declaration of Inhumanity
About This Novel
In order to conquer the stars, humans voluntarily undergo genetic modification to become "qualified". However, the cold "Human Purity Act" declared them "inhumans". Leader Leah Kerwin was forcibly stripped of the biochip symbolizing citizenship in court and thrown into the steel tomb - the Seventh Quarantine Zone. In order to rescue Leah, an anonymous qualified person sneaked into the core of District 7, but triggered the highest alarm. The "Scavenger", mankind's ultimate weapon to eliminate "alien", is released, and its devastating infrasound waves are enough to shatter everything. On the verge of death, Leah burst out with power far beyond that of the Scavenger - the ultimate scream from her mouthpiece modified to adapt to the alien world. The horrific collision tore apart steel and shattered the mechanical monster. The price of victory is life. Carrying Leah's cold body, the survivors rushed out of hell. Leah coughed up blood, and her last question tore through the silence: "We transform ourselves just to continue human civilization... But you use this power to prove that we are not human enough?" This scream is the "Declaration of Inhumanity" issued by Leah with her life. It echoes in the star space, questioning human civilization: When survival requires alienation of oneself, and the fire that protects is denounced as heresy, where is the boundary that defines "humanity"?
