About This Novel
This story takes place during the Xianping and Jingde years of the Song Dynasty. It uses the Song-Liao War as the historical background and tells the story of Yang Ming, the son of the great hero Yang Chengying. Family hatred, national hatred, joys and sorrows, chivalrous heroic sentiments, and worldly affairs. At the end of the story, Yang Ming and Yang Yanzhao (Yang Liulang) fought against the Liao Dynasty together, defeated the Liao army, and finally led to peace talks between the Liao and Song Dynasties.
