About This Novel

This book is a collection of science fiction short stories. This book is edited by Professor Wu Yan and Dr. Sanfeng, who are both leading figures in Chinese science fiction research and criticism. It selects more than ten excellent annual science fiction novels from new and old authors from science fiction literature publications such as "Science Fiction World" and "Galaxy's Edge" as well as online platforms such as Non-Existent Science Fiction and Tadpole Staff. Together with the author's creative remarks and the editor's wonderful comments, this book focuses on the contemporary style of Chinese science fiction literature creation in 2019. In terms of authors included, the works are selected from three generations of science fiction writers, old, middle and young. There are works by older generation science fiction writers such as Liu Cixin, Han Song, Wu Yan, and Jiang Bo, as well as intermediate forces such as Jiang Bo, Chen Qiufan, and Baoshu, as well as rising stars of the new generation such as Yang Wanqing and Fei Deuterium. In terms of content selection, the annual outstanding works, science fiction literature reviews and science fiction essays are all available. Coupled with the encyclopedia content carefully produced by the editor, the appendix includes a catalog of Chinese science fiction publications throughout the year and a recommended reading list, which further increases the information and collection value of the book.
