About This Novel

The winning work of the 27th Science Fiction Galaxy Awards! The author He Xi, Liu Cixin, and Wang Jinkang are known as the "Troika of Chinese Science Fiction" and have won the "Galaxy Award", China's highest science fiction award, 13 times. This is a period of cosmic history that humanity is about to encounter and be immersed in; this is a super catastrophe that is irresistible on both time and space scales. The birth and survival of the earth's biosphere depends entirely on some incredible luck, but such grace is accompanied by inherent dangers. "Nian" is a ferocious beast in Han Chinese mythology that brings disaster to the world on New Year's Eve. The legend was originally false, but one day when human beings finally had the ability to observe their own destiny with wisdom, they suddenly discovered that the "Nian of Heaven" not only existed but had already been revealed. That is true destiny, without reason or explanation. In the face of the "nian" that is advancing step by step like a noose, human beings, the soul of all things, find themselves for the first time becoming an indescribable and weak summer insect. In this story that began 750 million years ago, there has never been a winner in the showdown with "Tiannian". Now, it's our turn...

Looks a little tired

But it is really exciting, I even doubt whether it is science fiction. It's so logical, oh my god. I feel that the author has deep thoughts on many things, and it reads a bit like Sherlock Holmes. It was a bit confusing at first, but then it became very exciting.

I can't imagine that the author actually writes romance novels

I have read millions of words of online novels that are verbose to make up for book money, and I have been worried that my reading level and appreciation level will decline. Fortunately, there are literary works like this, which always remind me what a truly high-level novel looks like. Thank you, the author, for your persistence!

Xi is a ferocious beast, otherwise why would it be New Year's Eve to welcome the New Year! If the New Year is bad, we are sick if we greet the New Year again and again! Read more and then go out to hang out. (I have not read the book, so the comments are not based on the content of the book, but are based on my impressions after reading the introduction)

The plot of the story combined with some high-tech fantasies made me feel an indescribable thrill. This is why I prefer science fiction novels!

It's ugly. I didn't learn from Liu Cixin, and I wasted 6 yuan.

He Xi's science fiction is quite good, with grand ideas. There is another poem about Tiannian, you can read it.
