About This Novel
There is an elegant and dusty miniature mountain range on the east bank of the Mianyuan River. The smoke from every house is arousing the swallows, and the orioles are singing everywhere. Every step is quiet and elegant, the pines and cypresses are green, and the mountain flowers are blooming and fragrant. Legend has it that in the late Ming Dynasty, Zhao Xiang, a high official in the imperial court, traveled thousands of miles to Shu to avoid Wei Zhongxian's rebellion. He took a fancy to this mountain, so he took his family's treasures and lived in seclusion in the mountains in a place that was as high as the ridge of a roof and as deep as an urn. Later, his bones were buried here.
