by Tao Quanke
About This Novel
[Historical Suspense + Dark Strange Cases + Chaotang Jianghu] There is no magical plan, only a fight with life - a record of cruel detective investigations by little people. During the Jiajing period, the Great Buddhist Temple, a popular place for seeking children in the capital, was flourishing. Everyone said it was efficacious, but women who entered the temple would fall asleep and forget their things when they returned home at night. Xia Ling, who retired from the Imperial Guard, hired the prostitute Huahua to sneak into the temple to conduct a secret investigation. A secret of a powerful person hidden by incense and a secret room gradually surfaced. The case is about to be solved, but a fire and a secret order cover up all the truth... The incense secret room, the mysterious Arhat Hall, the case of corpse burning in prison - the layers are reversed, the powerful, the fake monks, the royal guards... A Ukiyo-e of all sentient beings going crazy begins. "If this case continues to be investigated, it will not only shake the temple, but also the whole world." Open this book and see how the little guy got involved and stirred up the situation!

Casual short stories, interesting
An interesting short novel, worth reading. Let me pick out a few flaws. One is about the case of a temple borrowing a child to commit dirty money-making activities. I have read it many times. The second one is that the description of old Beijing culture is a little deliberate and redundant, or does it mean that you show off your knowledge? Can be a little streamlined. The story is interesting, the characters are created, and the rhythm is well controlled. Oh, yes, speaking of rhythm, the large flashback story at the end can be saved. Most readers can imagine the plot. Even if it deviates from what the author said, it doesn't matter. Different imagination spaces are also the highlight of good novels.
