allow me to look at you

Xinyiwu's writing style has always left me speechless. From "To Our Fading Youth" to "You Are Still Here", Xinyiwu's writing has a quiet quality. However, there is a huge tension between the silence and the thrilling hidden underneath. Xie Junian, who has always been the most conflict-ridden character in Xu Xiangyou's book, is a girl who has not been liked by her family since she was a child. She was fostered by her parents in her aunt and uncle's house when she was a child, so she met a child near her aunt's house: Wu Yu, and the story unfolded from then on. Xie Junian cannot play with other children in the class, but he can play happily with Wu Yu. It is simply because of sympathy, because Wu Yu and Xie Junian are the same kind of people, and their families are not happy, so they will cherish each other especially when they meet. On the contrary, Han Shu, the son of the procuratorate, not only has a happy family but also a prosperous life. Even though Han Shu sincerely loves Xie Junian, he has never been able to truly enter her heart. Maybe it's because I grew up in a privileged family, so I don't know how to restrain myself when doing things. Han Shu raped Xie Junian that night when she was drunk, and they became even more distant from each other. Han Shu really wanted to be responsible for Xie Junian, but Xie Junian didn't give him this chance, because she only had Wu Yu in her heart, and it had always been that way. Even if Wu Yu didn't love her later, and even if Wu Yu died in the end, she still had him in her heart. I always thought that Han Shu had no choice, so she chose. I think the most unacceptable part of this book is the girl Xie Junian met in prison and Han Shu's father. Birth, old age, illness and death are natural human relationships, but some people just don't want to accept it. Han's father obviously has a happy family and enough wealth to live out his old age, but his heart is not enough, and his greed is overwhelming. Pingfeng finally wanted to leave with Xie Wangnian. She thought that people who have never been lucky should have some luck, but it was ridiculous. She died in the hands of Xie Wangnian in the end. Maybe Xie Wangnian really loved her and wanted to take her away, but this kind of love was too twisted. In the end, she gave the photo to Ju Nian because she wanted to be nice to Ju Nian. After all, he was her only friend. As for Wu Yu, a person with congenital epilepsy, he has always regarded Xie Junian as her best friend, and he has tried his best in life, because he does not know when he will suddenly become ill, so he can only live every moment as the last moment. In fact, he loves Chen Jiejie. Even if no one agrees, and even if he knows that he is suffering from a serious illness, he is still willing to be with Chen Jiejie regardless of opposition. Chen Jiejie is also unwilling to be controlled by the family, so the two of them naturally get together. Wu Yu has never been sorry to Xie Junian, and he can't force it whether he likes it or not. Allow me to look at you, do you mean asking you to allow me to look at you, or do you promise me to look at you? But no matter which expression is used, the title of the book already foreshadows the silent weakness of the characters in the text. "Permit me to show you" was gently written on the back of the photo of the four of them that year. It was the deepest and most hopeless expression that Han Shu could make. Han Shu, whose father is the deputy director of the Procuratorate and whose mother is the director of brain surgery, has a prominent family background and a talented person with a bright future. Everything seems to be moving on the established track without deviation. However, eleven years later, Han Shu met Ju Nian again, and he felt as powerless as he did eleven years ago. He thought that by reporting Xie's father's disciplinary violations, Ju Nian could regain the warmth of the family. He thought that by "making things difficult" for Ju Nian at every turn, he thought that Ju Nian would be remembered by him. He thought that after that chaotic night, Ju Nian would be his only Ju Nian. Later, he thought that only he could give Ju Nian happiness, and that only he could make up for the pain Ju Nian endured. Then, he followed his wishful thinking and made mistakes again and again. So, he could only retreat again and again, but still hoped to look at Ju Nian. It's been eleven years. If you still can't forget it, why bother with yourself? You might as well never forget it for the rest of your life. Han Shu is the fate of the Orange Year, a fate that cannot be escaped or solved. Han Shu has never forgotten his guilt, his bitterness, and his love. In the Orange Year, the story of Snow White ended with laughter. From then on, she slowly transformed from a butterfly into a pupa. Ju Nian was a child who was not valued or blessed because his parents favored sons and daughters, so he was sent to his aunt to be raised. She has no friends and has her own world in her heart. She is immersed in the martial arts world she has woven, hoping that she can be redeemed by the prince in her dream, Xiao Qiushui. The door in her heart became narrower and narrower, but she finally heard the familiar sound of footsteps wandering outside the door. She was willing to share her little world with others, which was beautiful, wonderful, absurd, and sad. She opened a small window for Wu Yu. In Ju Nian's heart, the best flowers should be enjoyed with Wu Yu, the biggest rain should also be showered with Wu Yu, and the happiest things and the saddest things should be shared with Wu Yu. Ju Nian's vague love for Wu Yu was secretly hidden, but he did not declare it to his mouth. It wasn't until the end that he said: "I have always liked you, no less than Chen Jiejie." Wu Yu is the light in the darkness of the Orange Year, another caterpillar leaning against each other, and obsession. The farewell that Ju Nian asked Wu Yu to say when leaving was the first and last time. From then on, Wu Yu became a thorn in Ju Nian's heart, a disaster that he could not overcome and was buried in his heart forever. Ju Nian also needs redemption, not just Han Shu. Wu Yu, a pale and frail young man, his life stopped forever on the steps of that year. Everyone seemed to be scarred, but Wu Yu looked happy. His youth stopped at the most beautiful place, and ended abruptly at the most brilliant and beautiful years like a photo. When his beauty is gone and his eyes are full of dust, only his youth will never decay. Other characters in the novel are also outstanding, such as the carefree Zhu Xiaobei, the rich girl Chen Jiejie, Tang Ye who meets Ju Nian by chance, Ju Nian's inmate Ping Feng or Ju Nian's younger brother Xie Wangnian. Each character is vivid and vivid, leaving a deep impression on people. Let Me Show You Not only tells the story of youthful love, but also the twists and turns of fate. Everyone has a sense of destiny, and they are pursuing people or things that they cannot get. At the end, when Ju Nian revisited her hometown, she finally understood that Wu Yu would never say goodbye to her again, because her "little monk" finally became a tear in her heart, staying with her and never leaving. It was like the last footnote of the whole book, ending suddenly but echoing for a long time, and the boy would eventually meet the girl. There is a kind of magic in Xinyiwu. In the interlocking and tightly connected stories, you can always find your own figure and have some kind of spiritual resonance with the people in the play. As a result, those tiny halo memories penetrate into our minds, delicately but tenaciously connecting our past and years. The last picture is the words carved on the tree. Before I read the book at the beginning, the first thing I saw was this picture. I thought it was Han Shu & Ju Nian, but I didn't know until later that it turned out to be the Little Monk & Ju Nian. Wu Yu was not wrong but he didn't love Ju Nian, and Xie Ju Nian was not wrong but he didn't love Han Shu. What is love? Love is the pain that you can't bear to throw away. Love will fade away, but guilt will not. ♥

If you don't come, you won't go - Comment on "Let me look at you"

"Permit me to look at you, see through the autumn water, and crush loneliness into the hope of moonlight. Understanding and confusion have always been a matter of judgment and wisdom." The most well-known masterpiece of Xinyiwu is "To Our Fading Youth" which was adapted for the big screen. The emotional line between the heroine "Jade Faced Little Flying Dragon" Zheng Wei who dares to love and hate and the gloomy hero Chen Xiaozheng presents a cruel youth that makes people sigh. Compared with the clear love and hate in "To Youth", "Allow Me to Look at You" is more evocative, "I am under the sun of Wushan Mountain, blocked by high hills, with morning clouds and evening rain, morning and evening, under the balcony." An ancient text that implies the name of the young monk Wu Yu passed through Xie Ju's hasty youth. Xie Junian and Wu Yu, two children from ordinary families, became good friends because they were isolated while growing up in the countryside. Later, Junian returned to the city to go to school and met Han Xu, a boy from a better family, and Chen Jiejie, a girl from a better family. The four people, who had never met before, were inexplicably entangled by the thread of fate. Junian was unjustly imprisoned, and Wu Yu died tragically... The power of fate seemed too strong. The feelings of youth seem to be more lasting and mellow, and once they are given, they are passionate and reckless. Everyone in the book has obsessions, they are obsessed with things they have never experienced, and they insist on things they cannot get. Ju Nian could let go of his parents' lack of love, but he still held a grudge for Wu Yu. She was like cattails, weak but tenacious. After suffering the injustice of fate, she still retained her sincerity towards him; Han Xu seemed to be the pride of heaven. However, her life was ruined because of her longing for Orange Year, and she spent her whole life searching for redemption; Chen Jiejie yearned to break free from her bonds and elope with Wu Yu, but she caused him to die tragically, and she lived in depression for the rest of her life. The beginning of the story always seems familiar, I like you, you like her, and he likes you. Youth is always a mixture of inexplicable friendships and ignorant love. Looking back, those things that were never forgotten at that time are actually just a drop in the vast sea of life, but there will always be some that follow the wind, some that fall into dreams, and some that stay in the heart forever. Eason Chan sang in "Never Come or Go": Even if there is an extra thorn in my life No pain, don't worry Just pretend that you have plot but no story It hurts like a song and feels like a children's song It's like you've never been here before All feelings have their fiery moments and will always tend to dull. We must accept the gorgeous beauty of love when it is vigorous, and we must also accept the way it becomes as light as water after it becomes dull. Perhaps what we miss the most is the way we love someone so wholeheartedly and pay for them. In the past, the carriage was slow, and there was only enough time to love one person in a lifetime. And love should not be about selfish possession and destruction, but about mutual achievement, hand in hand, and becoming a better person. Many years later, Han Xu finally wanted to understand this truth, and when Ju Nian slowly let go of Wu Yu, perhaps in their thirties, they finally understood that the best love is always the one who stays with you the longest, and adhering to the principle of neither coming nor going, I am very happy when you come, and I can get along calmly when you leave, which is the best state of life. Allow me to look at you and grow old at a glance. What you yearn for and what you need will eventually be fulfilled in the long river of time.

Except Wushan is not a cloud

Wu Yu should love Jiejie, but this love ends at the best time. I have never been sure whether Wu Yu loves Jiejie or Chen Jiejie. The two are of course different, but there is no doubt that Chen Jiejie loves him.

good book

I think this great book is the pinnacle of all her works. The other books are also very good, but they are all of different genres. Xin Da also said that she doesn't like repetition when it comes to writing.

Worth reading again and again

A good book is worth reading again and again. I really like Li Guojing's preface to this book, the words are insightful. He said that if you peel away the gorgeous appearance of love, the content underneath is still intriguing. This is the feeling of this book. It won't shock you at first glance, but it will be unforgettable for a long time after reading it.

Why should Ju Nian be imprisoned during the best years of his life, while Han Shu could enjoy a new life without taking any responsibility?

Youth is so good that no matter how you spend it, it feels like a waste. When you look back, you will regret it.
