About This Novel

My brother picked up a stray cat and took good care of it. His parents praised him for his kindness. I gasped and asked him to send the cat away. My mother slapped me to the ground hard and scolded me for being a snake-hearted person. The cat was frightened and scratched his brother's hand with blood. His parents were anxious and distressed to take him to the hospital. I collapsed on the ground and begged them to save me, but my father kicked me in annoyance and yelled, "What are you pretending to be? You have to fight for favors. Can't you see that your brother was scratched by a cat and got vaccinated quickly?" They had forgotten that I have asthma and am allergic to animal hair. Eventually, I lay alone on the hotel room floor and breathed my last. But when my parents learned of my death, they were devastated.
