Stranger in a Foreign Land
About This Novel
A human orphan raised by Martians returned to Earth, but everything on Earth made him feel strange, ridiculous, and even absurd. He does not understand the existence of wealth, marriage, morality, and faith, and repeatedly thinks about the meaning of "being a human being." When human beings were still addicted to the disciplines of civilized society, this visitor from Mars finally realized that every step of earth's civilization was wrong. He is determined to lead mankind into the universe with a new life form. Some people believed that "Stranger in a Strange Land" was a true blueprint for an ideal society. In the 1960s, these people tried to build a utopia based on the description in the book. Heinlein protested and replied: ""Stranger in a Strange Land" invites you to think, not to believe."
