very beautiful book

This is a very calm book, mostly describing the details of life, but it is these details that make me feel the beauty of life. I don't know why I particularly yearn for the life in the book. Although I feel a little lonely, being able to do one thing for a lifetime and having a stable life is what I want most. I've finished reading it once, and I'm still looking for similar books to read but I haven't found any yet. I might just have to stumble upon it haha. The highly recommended books on Xiaohongshu have always been the same ones, but to be honest, there are not many books that suit my taste. There are quite a few books that are about healing and reasoning. I have tried to read them before, but after reading them, I don't know what I read. Maybe I'm too picky. So I feel like this book is really unique.

Write the most sincere letter to the person you meet in life

The author Ogawa Ito tells the story of Hatoko Amamiya's spiritual growth in the human world through letters in the Camellia Stationery Store. As a new generation of ghostwriters, Hatoko is a calm and rigorous operator of the Camellia Stationery Store left by the previous generation. She accepts the client's request with the greatest kindness and ghostwrites letters for them that determine their fate. In the process of helping others, Hatoko's gears of fate also untie her own knot. The emotional line running through the article is the entanglement between Hatoko and the previous generation. The latter told Hatoko that the family has been a ghostwriter for generations, and strictly required Hatoko to practice calligraphy since childhood. The lack of communication between generations made Hatoko's character increasingly rebellious. In the end, Hatoko wandered abroad alone for three years without returning. The inner pain and stubbornness made her miss the last moments of her predecessor's life. Occasionally one day, the son of the previous pen pal appeared in the Shancha Stationery Store. He brought Hatoko letters written by the previous generation. Every letter, without exception, revolved around Hatoko, from the brand of cheese he planned to buy her to the emotional disputes between the two. The previous generation in the letter seemed to have lost his usual majesty. When she confided in her pen pal, she no longer had to hide her failure. There is no such thing as a ghostwriter for generations of the family. It is just a pretense made up by the previous generation to make a living. Her too tough character hurt her favorite Hatoko. Faced with Hatoko who refused to forgive her and her approaching death, the letter recorded the last confession of this obedient old man. Hatoko is lucky. She has sincere friends like Lady Barbara and the Baron in her life, as well as sister QP and her father who look forward to becoming a family with her for the rest of their lives. However, the greatest luck is that Hatoko chose to forgive her previous generation, the person who loved her deeply but also deeply hurt her. I remember the book talks about Hatoko's inner thoughts when Mrs. Barbara invited Hatoko to enjoy the cherry blossoms together: Although he could not have such a wonderful and harmonious relationship with his previous generation, he had such a wonderful time with his dear neighbor. There is some regret in this thought, but more of it is the appreciation of the good things we have now and the relief of the pain in the past. After reading the whole book, my heart was filled with warm power, and I better understood the love and hurt between two generations. It always reminded me to be kind to my family and cherish fate and time. The book also gives a detailed description of the letter format, paper, pen and ink, stamps, and even the delivery method, making the matter of writing a letter solemn, elegant and exciting. This warm and profound book is recommended to everyone. I hope everyone will get inspiration and strength from it.

When a ghostwriter is involved in what happens around him, the different environments make people immersed in them. They pay attention to the stories that happen around Hatoko, and they can also enjoy the scenery along the way. They really want to be involved in it and live together in Kamakura. The scenery and stories described by the author are so vivid that they make people enjoy the story but don't want to leave.

A ghostwriting story full of Japanese style

Similar to the Jieyou Grocery Store and Kamogawa Canteen that I have seen before, the Shancha Stationery Store also has a small and fresh style, full of warm Japanese-style human touch.

A seemingly ordinary job, but because of its existence, people's lives are filled with sentiment. The protagonist slowly loves this job more and is more determined to do it well. This proves the saying that doing a simple job well is extraordinary.

"Both the Snow Cave Festival and the Black Jizo Temple Fair ended unknowingly. At this time, it seemed as if someone suddenly pulled out my earplugs, and the noisy chirping of cicadas entered my ears." It was very vivid.
