About This Novel

"Talk about Wind and Rain" contains thirty-seven essays by Zhou Zuoren, written from November 1935 to May 1936. Most of them are articles written by Zhou Zuoren after carefully reading his own collection of Ming and Qing notes, such as "Miscellaneous Records of Duyin" and "Yanjing Chronicles". Based on the principle of "emphasis on emotion and reason", he "picked out gold from the sand" to rediscover the literary and ideological value of these Ming and Qing notes.
