About This Novel

The turn of the 18th century and the 19th century was a period of large-scale military competition among European countries. It was also the starting point of a process of social change that swept across the world, which not only changed the national territory but also caused drastic changes in the world. This era still sparks heated debate among military historians to this day. This book is perhaps the first recent attempt to describe the unique "Russian style" tactics. The author has accumulated a large amount of "technical" material (regulations, decrees and orders) and analyzed it on this basis, while also analyzing theoretical concepts and personal experiences left by his contemporaries. This book is written on the basis of rigorous comparative analysis, and every fact mentioned in the book has been examined from different perspectives - including a large number of foreign materials that have not been deleted or added, and about which domestic readers often have little knowledge.
