Jules Verne was a French novelist, naturalist, popular science writer, and one of the important founders of modern science fiction. He wrote more than 60 science fiction novels, large and small, in his life. With his large number of works and outstanding contributions, he is known as the "Father of Science Fiction". According to UNESCO, Verne is the world's second most translated writer, second only to Agatha Christie.
