This work is the first part of the "Long Winter" trilogy. The story is alternately narrated from the perspective of the male and female protagonists, telling that in the near future, the earth's climate suddenly begins to deteriorate, and human settlements on the earth are gradually covered by ice and snow. Billions of people have fled the glaciers, crowding the world's last remaining habitable areas with sunlight. NASA sent out an unmanned spacecraft to explore, but found some weird black devices between the sun and the earth, blocking the path of sunlight to the earth. It turns out that there are other life forms in the universe. These aliens come with bad intentions and want to collect and store all the solar energy and take it for themselves, and take this opportunity to freeze humans to death on earth. In the end, scientific researchers from all over the world united to form an unprecedentedly large space fleet. They launched a life-and-death battle with aliens in space. In the end, the aliens' conspiracy was disintegrated, the earth regained sunlight, and people's lives returned to their former peace.
