The Great Gatsby
by (u. S.) Francis Scott Fitzgerald
About This Novel
It includes two novels "The Great Gatsby" and "Return to Babylon" by Fitzgerald, the famous American novelist in the 20th century. Among them, "The Great Gatsby" is Fitzgerald's most famous work. It tells the story of the reunion of Gatsby, a rich man who was originally a soldier, and his first love, Daisy, many years later, as well as the subsequent life tragedies that occurred. It depicts various corruptions in the "Jazz Age" society and reflects the loss of traditional American beliefs and the disillusionment of the "American Dream". The famous British literary critic T. S. Eliot highly praised "The Great Gatsby" and said, "This is the first step taken by American novels since Henry James."
