About This Novel
Haruki Murakami's second collection of short stories includes the reverie of meeting the "100% girl", the terrifying story of being on duty in the middle of the night, and the troubles of the poor moving... Thrilling, funny, and profound, different stories overlap with the fantasy world! Murakami uses his unique Japanese tenderness to describe an incredible love at first sight, which also gives the "perfect heartbeat" a concrete shape; it includes the Japanese version of the short story "Kangaroo Holiday" with the same title, and Murakami pays tribute to Salinger's masterpiece "A Good Day to Fish for Banana Fish"; Through 19 interesting and memorable short works, you can enter Murakami's world of whimsy and complete an intriguing jigsaw puzzle. Several short stories have been selected into Japanese high school Chinese textbooks, gathering Murakami's unlimited imagination and impressing the Japanese people's classic works!

You will meet many people in your life. Some people may surprise you for a moment, but if you don't catch them, they will disappear into the sea of people, so you might as well be brave.
The sense of security given by kangaroo mothers is very strong, just like the arms of our parents. When in danger, we can crawl into their arms because they will always protect us.
The size of a small animal also has something to do with its parents. The mother kangaroo itself is quite large, although the baby kangaroo is naturally not small compared to humans.
