The Complete Collection of Chekhov's Short Stories and Short Stories
About This Novel
The complete collection of Chekhov's novels, accompanied by 80 classic illustrations. Anton Pavlovich Chekhov (1860-1904), a world-class Russian short story master and outstanding playwright, was the last critical realist art master in Russia in the late 19th century. He is known as one of the "three major short story writers in the world" together with the French writer Maupassant and the American writer O. Henry. On the basis of the tradition of Russian realism, Chekhov took a new approach, opened up a new world with short stories, and revolutionized the literary genre of short stories. In Russia, which originally did not regard short stories as a major art form, Chekhov became the only master of realism whose short stories were recognized as classic writers. This collection is based on the first ten volumes of the 30-volume "The Complete Works of Chekhov" published in the Soviet Union. It contains all of Chekhov's novels. It is the true "Complete Collection of Chekhov's Novels and Novels" in the Chinese-speaking world. It is led by teacher Wang Shouren of the Academy of Social Sciences. Edited by mostly famous Russian translators, it strives to restore the original charm of Chekhov's text. It is accompanied by 80 exquisite illustrations specially drawn for Chekhov by the famous Soviet illustrator Kukreniksey, comprehensively showing Chekhov's artistic world. This collection is designed with a linen leather spine, showing a strong sense of "Chekhov" art in the cover.
