Prequel to the Ferryman: Soul Messenger
About This Novel
Initially, the wasteland is quiet and safe. It belongs only to the ferrymen and their souls. Here, the soul is not in any danger. Until a monster appears. Almost no one knows where this monster came from. It seems to have fallen from the sky and disturbed the peace of the wasteland. The soul was captured, the ferryman was seriously injured, and turmoil and fear arose in the originally peaceful and safe wasteland. The weird-looking inquisitors seemed to know something, but they said nothing. They just set up a barrier at the border of the wasteland, allowing only souls to pass through. Just in case, they erased the ferryman's memory of this part, making them think that the wasteland was like this. Everything was going well, except for Dylan the ferryman. Dylan's memory is extraordinarily stubborn and cannot be erased. So, they decided to send Dylan to the human world... Darkness is approaching, can the soul escape the fate of being corroded? Where the mission lies, can the ferryman successfully deliver them to the other side?

In the wasteland, there are ferrymen who work silently like humans. With persistence day after day, what makes everyone feel less lonely is that they can see many soul ferrymen like themselves accompanying the confused human souls to their homes. They occasionally make eye contact. A smile or a wave will drive away the boredom in the long and repetitive years.
I like it so much. From childhood to now, I have constructed a new world.
There are always more dead people than living people, so how big the world of souls must be!
