About This Novel
Five hundred years ago, Xuanzang and his disciples were encircled and suppressed by the Eastern Heaven on their way back from their journey to the west. It turns out that this journey to the West is nothing more than a deal between East Heaven and West Heaven: Tang Xuanzang sacrificed himself to annihilation in exchange for the lives of four other people. In order to protect a ray of Xuanzang's soul from being reincarnated, four people including Sun Wukong, Zhu Bajie, Sha Wujing, and Ao Lie (White Dragon Horse) dedicated their hearts to the Buddha, and then fell into the mortal world and became demons. Guanyin Bodhisattva protects Xuanzang's broken soul and will be reincarnated in the human world after five hundred years.
