About This Novel
This book tells the story of Bendren, a farmer in the southern United States, who led his family to transport his wife's body back to his hometown for burial in order to keep his promise to his wife. The entire ten-day trip was full of disasters: the water almost washed away the coffin, later the mule pulling the cart was drowned, and the fire almost incinerated the body. As a result, the eldest son lost a foot, the second son went crazy, the third son lost his beloved horse, the daughter failed to have an abortion and was raped by a pharmacy clerk, the younger son did not get the train he expected, but Bundren got dentures and married a new wife.

sick
Everyone in this family has character flaws, and their relationships are cold and nihilistic. This funeral journey is really a pure ritual of suffering
To be honest, my heart is very dry right now and I can't read classics at all.
I used to like Joyce
It's been two chapters, when will consciousness begin to flow?
