It just so happens that Akutagawa's most powerful novel is not "Rashomon". But Rashomon is more cold and mature in most of Akutagawa's novels, and has the kind of rational sense of in-depth analysis of human nature that Akutagawa Ryunosuke brought to the public. However, in fact, Akutagawa Ryunosuke is not an ideal person. On the contrary, his sensibility is far greater than the ideal. This is reflected in Chapter 19 of his short stream-of-consciousness autobiography "The Life of a Certain Idiot". Those who are familiar with Akutagawa must understand that Ryunosuke Akutagawa is truly touching, and what attracts and retains a group of loyal literary lovers is precisely the sense of flow of consciousness and heart palpitations contained in his literature (such as Onions, Oranges, The Life of a Certain Idiot, His Private Messages: Book of Ghosts, etc.) . Mr. Lu Xun's translation is very good, but if you don't have a solid literary foundation, I recommend reading translations by modern writers.
