"The Great Doctor: Breaking Dawn" is Ma Boyong's new full-length historical novel in 2022. A northeastern boy who narrowly escaped death in the Russo-Japanese War, a Guangdong boy who ran errands at the London Legation, and a Shanghai girl who refused to enjoy her wealth and status - these three young people with different origins, personalities, and circumstances entered the Red Cross General Hospital of China at the same time at the critical juncture of 1910, and began their entangled medical careers. High-quality new work from the Prince
I finished reading the book in a hurry. The plot is compact and coherent, which made me unable to stop reading. This book not only explains the lofty mission of being a doctor, but also reveals to us the magnificent era in the early nineteenth century. Each character awakened not only to their responsibilities as doctors, but also to the responsibilities of the Chinese people.
