About This Novel
After divorcing my husband, at the age of thirty-one, I came to the seaside town of Xiling alone, where I met my grandmother whom I had not seen for many years. After the embarrassment and silence, my lonely heart got closer and closer, and my grandmother and I became friends who confided in each other. In the old photo album in my grandmother's old house, I found a woman who looked very similar to me, nestling next to my grandmother when I was a girl. Each vivid face gradually came to me from the black and white photos, from the touching letters, from the long memories, through the era when women's life was like a piece of grass and their life was like a piece of grass. The stories that came to me through my great-grandmother, my grandmother, and my mother, their lives replayed before my eyes. Can I reach them now? Just as the countless selves in the past make up the present me, can the present me also see the countless selves in the past?

After reading it, I feel relaxed and heavy at the same time
I thought about my relationship with my parents and the hurtful words I said to my mother. Although I was also "hurt" by her, I shouldn't use more vicious words to say back to her. I think maybe I can start working hard to be a gentle person
I couldn't quite read it at first Later it felt very warm, indeed like a bright night, it was really a magical experience. An ordinary and very real female story
The characters in the story are very vivid, as if they really existed. Halfway through, I searched to see if it was a real adaptation. The plight of the women in the story is very real and so is the help between women. The male behavior in the story is also true. The grandmother's husband said that everyone is born equal and hoped that everyone would dress well, but he turned a blind eye to his wife's pain. Men who lack responsibility, sense of responsibility, and lack the ability to love appear throughout the story. The heroine's mother's cancer has recurred, but she is thinking about what her husband will eat. I felt very strange and surprised when I saw this. Shouldn't a normal man take care of his wife and worry about his wife's food and accommodation? But if this story is read by Koreans, it may make more sense and fit the environment better.
The content of this book is quite nice and interesting.

The beautiful night is very beautiful.
