There are also typos
The story is good, but there are many typos. What's going on?
The opening section is amazing, the middle section is full of details and a bit long-winded, and the scary atmosphere returns in the second section.
The overall atmosphere is well created, but some of the explanations for supernatural phenomena are lacking, a bit like Cthulhu-type horror elements that appear for no reason. Another point is that the thinking and behavior of several young protagonists are completely beyond their years. Is it cultural differences? It is somewhat similar to the American TV series "Under the Dome" (it seems that the original "Under the Dome" was also written by Steve King). Overall it's quite attractive.
