This book is based on the protagonist Wang Qiang's three trips to the countryside as the background, describing what he saw in the countryside full of pastoral style. Although the farming work is small, it is enough to inspire people's hearts and encourage people to grow. Although the past is far away, the rural love has never dissipated. Whether it was passing five levels and killing six generals, or walking through Maicheng, those little things in the countryside always appeared in Wang Qiang's mind, and he couldn't get rid of them. The vegetable garden back then was always a holy place in his heart, a teacher who taught the principles of life, and an important companion in his old age, although he never left a single word about it. The author shows us a pastoral picture full of rural life through trivial things such as planting vegetables, raking grass, fetching water, raising livestock, and chasing rabbits. Although it seems so far away from our modern urban lives, it is quite novel and interesting to read.
