About This Novel
The village was so small that a gourd can be used to pull it over. Four of the seventy-six people were kidnapped by bandits in one fell swoop. The old are old, the young are young, and the families are all equally poor. There is not much left to sweep with a broom. Don't you think the bandits are asking for trouble? Besides, this group of people and that group of people have been washing it so many times, even the fat intestines have been washed out of oil. The villagers were chattering about this together, guessing that the informant might have led the wrong way: it is a big village, and there are no particularly wealthy households. The beggars are too few, and the rabbits are too lazy to poop here. Is it worth a trip, and is it worth tying up four of them at once? However - one of the elders bit his pipe and said thoughtfully: It's hard to say. The bandits are so poor and anxious that the King of Hell will not disdain the thinness of ghosts.
