About This Novel
"The Lake and the Vitality" tells the story of Wang Sanyue, a college student with a background in Chinese, who went to Shangyuan Village, a village south of Danyang Lake, to serve as a village cadre. The work mirrors each other to create the heroic images of Liu Silong, Chen Yutian and Chen Daxian, who take the lead and serve the people wholeheartedly. By reviewing the past history, the work further explores the relatively distant historical picture from the real life in front of the eyes. At the end, it cleverly echoes the poem of the Tang Dynasty poet Li Bai: "Ten Odes of the Girl·Danyang Lake" ": "The lake is connected with the vitality, and the storm is unstoppable. Guests from outside the world return, and sails rise in the clouds. Turtles swim on the lotus leaves, and birds stay in the reed flowers. The girl paddles in the boat and sings along the flowing water." At the same time, the novel focuses on the current natural ecology, environmental protection, the relationship between man and nature, and the restoration of the natural ecology. It can be regarded as a quite typical ecological narrative text.
