About This Novel
"Watch" is a novel that reflects the fight against poverty in villages in the Qinba Mountains of Sichuan. The work takes Yin Liang, a young man who has just started working at the grassroots level, as the protagonist. It tells the story of how when he served as the first secretary of Gujing Village, a remote mountain village in northeastern Sichuan, he was deeply moved by the people's expectations and hopes for getting rid of poverty and getting rich and living a better life. His strong sense of mission and responsibility prompted Yinliang to take root in Gujing Village. With full enthusiasm, he worked with local grassroots party members and cadres to lead the villagers of Gujing Village to explore and embark on the road to get rid of poverty.
