A heavy snowstorm, a boy's three days and three nights, the ancient and charming world of Iceland a hundred years ago. "They are too young, have read too many useless books, and their hearts beat with more uncertainty than others." The boy and his only companion, Bart, who loves to read, went out to sea with the cod fishing fleet. Before leaving, Barthes was so fascinated by reciting the poems of Milton's "Paradise Lost" that he forgot to bring waterproof clothes. As a result, he encountered a heavy snowstorm on the way and froze to death on the boat. With great grief and confusion, the boy set out that night and trudged for two days and two nights in the snowy seaside valley to return the book to the coffee shop on behalf of his friend. He has decided that after returning the book, he will reunite with his friends in death.
